New Patients Seeking Treatment FAQs

Making informed decisions about your fertility treatment can help you achieve your parenting dreams with more confidence, happiness, and assurance. Together, we can help you find the right treatment plan for your family.

Your primary physician is assigned at your new patient consult. This physician makes all recommendations for your treatment cycle plan. Atlantic has two well-qualified nurse practitioners who help care for you and your physician. For some of your diagnostic visits, such as Saline Ultrasound, HSG, and follicular ultrasounds, you could be scheduled with one of the NPs. We have the NPs in place to help with these visits to free up the physician schedules so that they can focus on decision day Ultrasounds, return appointments, and New patient appointments. This allows space for the physician to have high-quality communication with you. Please be assured that the NP works closely with your physician to ensure all information is relayed about your care.

We are inclusive at Atlantic Reproductive Medicine Specialists and provide expert fertility medical treatment for married and unmarried couples, same-sex couples, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

The Univfy Pre-IVF report is a specific report that tells patients their chances of success based on their specific diagnostics and our clinic success rates. The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) reports birth outcome data from its member clinics. This provides reliable information for patients to make informed decisions and understand the likelihood of success with different treatment options. Atlantic is a SART member clinic; patients can use the SART calculator to see success rates.

Yes, using our best-in-class, customized Univfy PreIVF Report, Atlantic Reproductive Medicine Specialists can provide refund pricing for qualified patients.

It greatly depends on your chosen treatment path and how you respond to that treatment. It can take as little as 4-6 weeks or 6-12 months. Please discuss your timeline in your consult, as this will help determine the best pathway for you.

After meeting with your doctor and deciding on a treatment path, we will provide estimated fertility treatment costs. We will also help you determine your insurance benefits and how to take advantage of them.

We will discover the path best for you and your family through your initial consultation and evaluation. We tailor our treatment to match your needs and desired outcomes. We offer Ovarian Reserve Testing to determine the number of eggs a woman has available, the hysterosalpingogram (HSG test), which allows a reproductive endocrinologist to see the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes, and another diagnostic test. Patients receive the Univfy PreIVF Report, which provides personalized predictions of their success with IVF after completing their diagnostic tests.

Yes. We have an andrology lab in our office. Learn more about sperm analysis here. Dr. Matt Coward is a Urologist who specializes in male reproductive health.

There are many basic fertility treatments, including COS (Controlled Ovarian Stimulation) with home intercourse or IUI (Intrauterine Insemination). More advanced fertility treatments include INVOcell, IVF (In Vitro Fertilization), ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), and pre-genetic testing of embryos. Our board-certified endocrinologists can help you determine the best course for pregnancy.

The combined age of the couple should not be over 100. The female partner must be 49 or younger.

Your OB/GYN can conduct a basic infertility evaluation. If a problem is found during your evaluation or if your evaluation is inconclusive and for more complex fertility issues, we advise making an appointment to consult with a fertility specialist.

A fertility evaluation is usually recommended after one year of attempting pregnancy. Women over 30 should seek medical advice after 6 months of attempting pregnancy. These are recommendations. At Atlantic, there is no timeline. We welcome all patients at any time for consults related to your fertility health.
