Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
ICSI is a specialized technique used during IVF, commonly recommended for male factor or in cases of unexplained infertility. The process involved an embryologist identifying motile sperm under the microscope and carefully injecting a single sperm into each mature egg.
Why choose ICSI?
- Helps overcome low sperm count, motility, or abnormal shape
- Often used in cases of unexplained infertility
- Increases fertilization success, especially when previous IVF cycles have had poor fertilization
- Performed successfully in over two-thirds of IVF cycles at Atlantic Reproductive Medicine
