Rachel Eshel, PsyD
Licensed Psychologist
Welcome to my practice. As a clinical psychologist, specialist in reproductive mental health, and part of the Atlantic Reproductive community of providers, I am passionate about supporting people during their family-building process. I would be honored to help you along your journey.
Some patients come to me for time-limited sessions focused on decision-making during fertility treatment. Others seek ongoing therapy focused on emotional support and building hope in the context of grief and loss, anxiety, sadness, trauma, or relationship problems. I also provide consultations and evaluations in the context of third-party reproduction egg/sperm/embryo donors or surrogacy.
You can find me on-site at Atlantic Reproductive two days a week, and I am also available via telehealth on most weekdays. My interpersonal style is open and warm. You can expect me to be empathic, compassionate, an excellent listener, and committed to building a connection with you.
I am sensitive to issues related to trauma, disability, culture, family values, immigration, and non-traditional forms of family building, and welcome all to my practice.
I am a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine Mental Health Professional Group and Postpartum Support International. I received a Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and a Doctorate of Psychology degree from Pace University. I completed my pre-doctoral psychology internship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles / University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and my post-doctoral psychology fellowship at Westchester Institute for Human Development in New York.
I have previously worked in hospitals, outpatient settings, academic medical centers, schools, private group practice, foster care, community-based settings, and in the not-for-profit public health sector, building expertise in reproductive mental health, perinatal mental health, and child and adolescent psychology, including in early childhood and parenting.
I look forward to meeting you.
